Public Classes

Thank you for your interest in our classes.  We have lots of fun group and people classes planned and lots more to schedule.  New classes are posted regularly.

Problem Solving Classes

Don’t Relinquish Your Dog, Relinquish the Behaviors!
There are many ways to address problem behaviors like jumping up, barking, canine rivalry, begging, separation anxiety, counter surfing and stool eating, etc.  Join us with CPDT certified trainer, Linda Lelak to explore, manage and resolve some of these simple but intolerable behaviors that lead to animal shelter relinquishment.  Each week will focus on a selection of topics posted below:  There are six dog/handler spaces and six observer spaces available.  Minimum of three people needed to hold class.

Train Your Dog Seminar

Canine Good Citizens Class & Test:

Is your dog a Canine Good Citizen (CGC)?  He/she could be!  This is a great class enroll in after basic obedience.  It is recommended that all dog be familiar with sit, lie down and heel before enrolling in CGC.  Bucks County SPCA's CGC class will be held for one hour weekly for 6 weeks, with testing for Canine Good Citizen Certification scheduled for the last class.  Pre-registration is required.  For more information about Canine Good Citizens check out this brochure or email questions to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it   Let us know if your dog has never attended group classes before.
Cost:  $100/per dog

Puppy Star Class:  Starting Soon!

Brand new for 2010!  Puppy Star is an early prep class for Canine Good Citizenship designed just for puppies 8 weeks to 11 months.  This is a great class to follow basic obedience to help you and your puppy reach for the stars.  Continue to enforce the basics; sit, down, heel, giving up toys, handling and puppy playtime.  Bucks County SPCA's Puppy Star class will be held for one hour weekly for 6 weeks, with testing for Puppy Star Certification scheduled for the last class.  Pre-registration is required.  For more information about AKC Puppy Star Program, check out this Puppy Star Brochure or email questions to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it   Let us know if your puppy has never attended group classes before.

Introduction to Obedience for Puppies (Under 4 months)

Calling all puppies under 4 month old.  This is a special class just for you!  You can learn your name, how to walk on a leash, sit, lie down and stay.  Just two easy, one hour classes will prepare you for an obedience class.   Don't forget to bring your parents.  They can learn how to socialize you, teach you how to take treats nicely, and learn about appropriate mouthing.  This is a great place to start socializing so sign up today.  Spring and April are just around the corner!  We need at least four participants to hold this class.  Pre registration required.  Additional information available here..
