Annabel, a domestic short hair, was photographed by Linda McManus of Linda McManus Images, during her stay at our shelter. The photograph, titled "Surrender", ended up being a winner in Martha Stewarts Best Buddies Pet Photo Contest. Annabel was adopted after her photograph was taken. Linda McManus' "Funny Felines" note cards feature many of Bucks County SPCA's cats during their time at our shelter. 10% of the sales of these cards will be donated to Bucks County SPCA. You can view them at www.lindamcmanusimages.com.

On Tuesday, May 25, 2010, 52 Persian cats were removed from a home in Lower Makefield Township, PA. Due to the owner's declining health, the condtion of the animals and their environment had suffered. All of the cats were removed to our shelter, where they are being evaluated for health and grooming issues. The cats were signed over to our shelter and will soon be available for adoption. Interested adopters can call or stop by to fill out an application for one of these fancy felines. If you would like to read more about this story, please visit the Bucks County Courier Times website. Bucks County SPCA has recently had many animal cruelty cases with large numbers of animals involved, which impacts our available resources (such as food, litter, etc.). If you would like to help, please visit our wish list for items that we are in need of. You may also donate via PayPal, just click the link on the left hand side of the page.

On Thursday, April 15, 2010, Bucks County SPCA Humane Officers and State Dog Wardens removed over 30 Standard Poodles from a home in Solebury Township. You can see video of the story featured on Action News (6ABC) by clicking here. The dogs and one cat removed from the home are now settling in to our shelter, where they will have to stay for an undertermined amount of time. Our staff and volunteers are committed to providing the best care to all animals, including this group. Donations are always greatly appreciated, especially when there is such a large number of animals brought to our shelter at one time. Visit our Wish List page to see our most needed items by clicking here. The animals are not available for adoption at this present time. If you are interested in adopting one of the poodles, please visit our shelter during normal business hours to be placed on a waiting list.....
