With guidance from our Lahaska shelter’s staff and veterinarians, Mann-Hughes Architecture has designed a state-of-the-art facility. The new, environmentally sensitive Richland Township shelter at the corner of California and Reservoir Roads will include a surgical suite equipped for high volume spay and neuter procedures; ample, naturally lit housing areas designed specifically to ensure the comfort of animals; a ventilation system built to meet the shelter’s unique needs; public meeting spaces for animal training and humane education; isolation rooms to prevent the spread of infectious diseases; and an outdoor playground for our canine residents.
