- What do I do if I find an injured animal?
The Bucks County SPCA will respond, at any hour, to a call for help for an injured stray or a call to trace a tag issued by our establishment. During or after business hours, you can call the Bucks County SPCA at 215-794-7425.
- What do I do if I find a stray dog or cat?
In either case, the first thing to do is call your local Animal Control Officer / police / Township building to see if the animal has been reported missing by it's owner. If necessary, follow that up with a call to the Bucks County SPCA to see if the owner filed a missing animal report. Some other alternatives to helping a lost pet find their way home would be to:
* Place an advertisement in your local newspaper
* Call local Veterinarians
* Place Found Pet posters in your neighborhood
If you find a stray cat and are unable to hold the animal for a few days, we encourage you to bring the animal to the Bucks County SPCA. For more information on what to do if you find an animal, go to our Lost & Found section online.
