For First Responders
Whether you are a police person called to the scene of a crime, or a fire person or paramedic at an emergency, you have a lot to deal with. These stressful situations can become even more difficult when you add in 10 pounds of hissing fur, or 120 pounds of scared canine. The Bucks County SPCA offers special presentations to teach first responders how to handle animals during emergencies. We also offer temporary shelter for animals when their families are displaced (for more information see S.A.F.E – Supporting Animals and Families in Emergencies).
To set up a presentation for your precinct, firehouse or emergency center contact Nikki Thompson, Chief Humane Officer, at (215)794-7425 ext. 107 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
