Animal and Customer Care Attendant
(Part-timer / Lahaska)

Bucks County SPCA is currently accepting applications for a full-time (weekdays, weekends and holidays) Animal Care and Office Attendants at our Quakertown location. Animal Behavior Leader

The BCSPCA is seeking a qualified individual to take over leadership of our animal behavior department. We are a full-service open-admission private sheltering system serving all of Bucks County from our two locations (New Hope and Quakertown). Deeply rooted in the community, we assist nearly 4,000 animals annually and have a 93% average live release rate. Our programs include adoption, lost-and-found, emergency rescue, subsidized sterilization, cruelty investigation, foster care, surrender prevention, rescue partnership, and shelter medicine.

We seek a behavior professional with the hands-on skills to evaluate incoming animals for safe placement in our community, and the broad-thinking skills to refine and develop our behavior department. The successful candidate will also oversee behavioral quality of life for shelter and fostered animals, coordinate animal transfers coming in from and going out to other agencies, lead the behavior volunteers, train staff in animal handling and behavior, and field behavior-related questions from the public. Bucks County offers picturesque beauty, excellent amenities, and proximity to both Philadelphia and New York City. This position will be based in Quakertown but serve both of our locations. Development Manager
(Full-time / Lahaska)

The Development Manager is responsible for tasks that support the recordkeeping, gift processing, and retrieval of data related to fundraising efforts. This includes biographical data, entering gift deposits, production of gift receipts, acknowledgement letters, and daily/monthly reporting. Director of Development
(Full-time / Lahaska)

The BCSPCA is seeking a dynamic experienced leader for our donor engagement and fundraising programs. The successful candidate will become a key component of our talented Communications and Development department. They will take over identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of donors through personal contact, direct mail and newsletter campaigns, fundraising and awareness events, foundation research and grant request writing and reporting, planned and monthly giving, matching gifts, memorials and honoraria, corporate gifts, and donor acknowledgment.

Based in Lahaska, near New Hope, and serving all of picturesque Bucks County, the new Director of Development will help us connect our century-old mission of service to the community with funders who value compassion for local animals and the people who share their lives. Staff Veterinarian
(Full-time /Split time between Lahaska and Quakertown)

The shelter medicine program is a key component in our efforts to achieve BCSPCA’s objectives focused on caring for animals and improving placement rates. The Staff Veterinarian is a key member of the Shelter Medicine department, bringing his/her knowledge of shelter animal care and surgical expertise to the team. The Staff Veterinarian will be responsible for performing surgical procedures (primarily spay/neuter of cats, dogs and rabbits) and physical examinations on healthy and sick shelter animals. This position requires knowledge of and an interest in Shelter Medicine.

The Staff Veterinarian position is an exempt, full time, 40 hours per week position, which includes one day on the weekend. This position is split between our Lahaska and Quakertown shelters.
